Nina Marie is an artist and massage therapist (ITEC with merit, DIP) working in the fields of visual art, performance and healing. She offers Swedish/Holistic Massage, Traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage and her Bespoke Natural Face Lift Massage. Nina hopes to share the benefits of massage through present and nurturing touch, being attentive with her hands in how she responds to each individual and moment. In addition to work as a therapist, she teaches a variety of couple's massage workshops. Nina grew up in Sweden and has treated and taught in London, Los Angeles, Stockholm and Rome.
Lomi Lomi massage
Lomi Lomi - or traditional Hawaiian massage - is known for its long, broad, dynamic strokes. Some call it flowing river massage, as it feels like being immersed in gentle movements of water. Covered with a modesty cloth, rhythmic strokes flow up and down the entire body, using generous amounts of warm oil. The movement patterns of Lomi Lomi are nurturing and soft, and tension is subtly dissolved to leave room for peace and vitality.
Swedish/Holistic massage
As a cornerstone of Western massage, this deeply relaxing full-body treatment uses the classic strokes of Swedish massage therapy. Swedish massage is traditionally used for pain management, increased circulation, relaxation, and to alleviate anxiety and depression. Light to medium pressure is applied.
