Experience a day immersed in nature, starting with a guided herb walk through scenic Richmond riverside and woodland, a nutrient-rich, seasonal lunch crafted with wild foraged ingredients, and culminating in a hands-on tea-making workshop where you'll create your own custom herbal blends under the expert guidance of renowned herbalist and Forage Botanicals founder, Natasha Richardson BSc (Hons), MSt, MNIMH.
Highlights:
Herb Walk: Embark on a guided tour through riverside and woodland areas, including Petersham Meadows. Discover the medicinal uses of plants and experience nature's essence through crafted tinctures made from local flora.
Seasonal Grazing Lunch: Riverhouse Head Chef, Vanessa ,will create a plentiful seasonal and nutrient dense grazing lunch, including some of the wild and foraged ingredients from the Riverhouse garden, local area and beyond. We will also be incorporating some of Forage Botanicals products into the foodie experience and show different way of including these easy to use and tasty products into your everyday routine. Expect hints of rose, chai spices and dark cacao to finish off your nutritious lunch on the terrace.
Tea-Making Workshop: Following your meal Natasha will guide you in our Tea-Making Workshop to explore the natural benefits of 5 of her favourite herbs. Under the guidance of expert herbalist Natasha Richardson, you'll create a custom tea blend using a variety of ingredients, from fragrant rose blossoms to invigorating nettle leaves. Learn to balance flavours and health benefits to craft teas that reflect your personal taste and intentions. With hands-on instruction, you'll mix and measure to create your signature blends, leaving with a deeper appreciation for proper herbal tea and a unique creation to enjoy.
