Lucy is a fully accredited Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. Lucy originally trained to teach yoga with The Life Centre in 2004 (200hrs TT Diploma) & completed her second 200hr TT Diploma under the tutelage of Katy Appleton from Appleyoga in 2015. Lucy teaches for The Life Centre in Notting-Hill, Bhuti in Richmond and out of her Garden Studio in TW2.
Lucy’s classes are nurturing, grounding and informative – with a focus on breathwork and alignment, as well as restorative and yin yoga elements. With a smile and love for teaching, she seeks to instill a sense of lightness and ease in students, whilst helping them to connect with their bodies and minds.
As a constant student on this path, Lucy enjoys furthering her knowledge with some of the worlds leading practitioners in yoga, philosophy, meditation and energy work, teachers including: Bo Forbes, Judith Lasater, Donna Farhi and Tias Little. She is particularly interested in the therapeutic applications of yoga.
Lucy lives in SW London with her husband, her two children and their much loved Pug. Lucy finds sanctuary in nature, especially when hiking. When not exploring the Lake District, she can be found in Richmond Park with her Pug in tow.
I am very thankful to have trained with many influential teachers: my parents who raised me following the yogic path, the classic hatha lineages to the newer styles of teaching.
My own daily yoga can incorporate meditation, slow hatha flow, restorative, nidra, chanting, reading philosophy, yoga news/journals and attending to the needs of my loving family and being part of my wonderful community in Kew. I love being surrounded by nature, open spaces, the sea, reading, enjoying the arts and culture in London and being a yoga teacher and reiki practitioner.
My classes ensure students sensitively gain a rounded practice including breath techniques, postures, simple chants, readings and deep rest.
Class includes Restorative Yoga, gentle Somatic movement & simple myofascial release techniques to help with range of motion & tension. Blissful!
