Uma Knight

Uma is an international yoga, meditation and embodiment guide. She has recently moved back to London after spending the last few years living and teaching across Vancouver, Europe and India.

Bringing together a fusion of traditional yoga practices, years of devotion and contemporary methods of healing, she offers a space for others to come deeper into presence, into the body and the support of community.

Expect to feel, flow and focus with the power of breath, music, intention, subtleties, and hopefully experience more freedom in your heart, mind and spirit.

Uma’s classes are rooted in the concept of “being” and “becoming” - how can we welcome all parts of ourselves as we are, and explore the potential of all that we can become through practice, devotion and will.

Since leaving her corporate job at the BBC and a career as a sound engineer, she has spent the last years living, studying and teaching around the world devoting herself to the healing arts, the path of practice and being in service to something bigger. Most of all as a teacher, she is committed to share the simple tools that have held and helped her find more meaning and purpose in her life.

 

Sama Trinder

It has been my long-held dream to create a community space that enables people discover their inner 'bhuti' and I created bhuti to spread the transformational benefits of yoga.

I teach mindful hatha yoga suitable for all levels which can be more dynamic or  restorative depending who shows up.  I teach 1-2-1s and offer Yoga Therapy.

My first enquiry into yoga was at university in the 90s, began regular practice after the birth of my son with teachers from different yoga traditions including Iyengar, Sivananda, Vinayasa and Ashtanga.

I never thought I could become a yoga teacher as I had been a chubby, un-sporty child, unable to do a forward roll let alone stand on my head, a failure at ballet, and always suffering from a restless, anxious mind. I have since learnt that our only limits are those we impose on ourselves and the practice of yoga helps us overcome these limiting beliefs, and fulfil our potential in every area of life. I firmly believe yoga ((meaning 'union')) is for everyone  is for everyone, and never more needed than now. 

I am a 500hr International Yoga Alliance accredited teacher, trained by Conrad Paul (Sivananda), Ruth White (Iyengar) and have completed a 500 hr Yoga Therapy Diploma with Yoga Campus . I have also trained with master teachers Max Strom, Richard Freeman, Rod Stryker, Donna Farhi, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. I am an eternal student, learning as much from my students as my teachers, it is a joyful journey.

An alignment based, anusara-inspired dynamic flow asana with a focus on sensual and conscious movement. In her classes you can expect rhythmic and thoughtful sequencing, sensitive and clear instructions and the inspiration of a soulful playlist.

Bringing together a fusion of traditional yoga practices, approachable mindfulness techniques this is a space for you to come deeper into presence by honouring your body, slowing down and receiving the energy of community.
