Vinyasa yoga with meditation

This class is taught by:

Mark Hill

I have been practicing Yoga and Meditation for 20 years and teaching full time for 15 years.

I like to engourage students to find their own balance as I lead

them through a steady, flowing sequence of postures, followed by a deep relaxation, pranayama (breath work) and meditation.

I first trained in Sivananda yoga,

then Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga and most recently Parayoga with

Rod Stryker.

Charlie Merton

Charlie originally trained as a musician, playing trumpet and piano from a young age, she attained a Bachelor of Music in 2004 she subsequently completed her Masters in Music Therapy and now teaches yoga & works as a music therapist alongside leading regular Gong Ceremonies at some of the leading yoga studios in London. Charlie began playing with yoga as a child with her friend who was Hindu whose mother was a yoga teacher. Years later, she rediscovered yoga in 2001 whilst at university, she began teaching in 2011 after she travelled to Northern India to do her yoga teacher training with Sivananda in traditional hatha yoga and here in began her formal training in sacred sound. As her yoga practice evolved along with her knowledge and experience as a crystal and sound healer, she became more and more aware of how yoga and healing practices were interconnected and interrelated, a combined practice becoming a fundamental part of her own healing journey as well as empowering others through healing and yoga. As a size14 yoga teacher, she is adept at making the practice accessible for all shapes and sizes and teaches workshops for bigger bodies.

Through her experience as a trumpet player, Charlie has had a strong relationship with breath and importance of breathing since she was 8 years old, so it's not surprising that her yoga classes pay particular attention to the experience of breath and body with time taken in each class, to breathe and deepen the powerful connection to breath.
Charlie dynamic classes are influenced by her own practice of Dharma Mittra, Jivamukti, Iyengar yoga and Kundalini yoga. She teaches alignment based strong flow and dynamic asana, she is a certified Yin teacher having trained with Norman Blair & Sarah Powers and a Restorative Teacher through her study with Judith Lasater. She furthered her knowledge of sacred sound with Anne Malone and studied the power of the Gong with world renowned Gong Masters Don Conreaux and Aidan McIntyre and runs gong baths monthly around London. Charlie first experienced the power of the Gong in 2007 through her practice of Kundalini yoga and was amazed by the profound healing qualities that the gong possess and felt a strong desire to help spread the healing power of sound and the gong and is currently completing her Kundalini teacher training through Karam Kriya.

Sama Trinder

It has been my long-held dream to create a community space that enables people discover their inner 'bhuti' and I created bhuti to spread the transformational benefits of yoga.

I teach mindful hatha yoga suitable for all levels which can be more dynamic or  restorative depending who shows up.  I teach 1-2-1s and offer Yoga Therapy.

My first enquiry into yoga was at university in the 90s, began regular practice after the birth of my son with teachers from different yoga traditions including Iyengar, Sivananda, Vinayasa and Ashtanga.

I never thought I could become a yoga teacher as I had been a chubby, un-sporty child, unable to do a forward roll let alone stand on my head, a failure at ballet, and always suffering from a restless, anxious mind. I have since learnt that our only limits are those we impose on ourselves and the practice of yoga helps us overcome these limiting beliefs, and fulfil our potential in every area of life. I firmly believe yoga ((meaning 'union')) is for everyone  is for everyone, and never more needed than now.

I am a 500hr International Yoga Alliance accredited teacher, trained by Conrad Paul (Sivananda), Ruth White (Iyengar) and have completed a 500 hr Yoga Therapy Diploma with Yoga Campus . I have also trained with master teachers Max Strom, Richard Freeman, Rod Stryker, Donna Farhi, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. I am an eternal student, learning as much from my students as my teachers, it is a joyful journey.

Sandrine Giacobino

I started studying more in depth massage and healing modalities in 2000 and soon after discovered and fell in love with yoga! Since then I have added to my first Swedish massage course many techniques learned in different parts of the world and London which has been my main base for many years...Body work and yoga have taken me on a journey that has helped me address many aspects of my life, heal some physical ailments, grow, evolve and it is always for me a pleasure to work with people, helping them reconnect to their true essence or simply feel better in their daily life.
I combine deep tissue techniques with abdominal work, Indian Head Massage or even Thai Yoga Streches depending on what is needed.
This is a profound vinyasa asana class which can move your practice on.  It is a steady, flowing, sequence of postures, with particular emphasis on alignment of body, quality of breath and focus of mind. An hour of postures, is followed by 10 minutes relaxation, then 15 minutes of pranayama (breath work) and meditation to still the mind. You are encouraged to find your own balance as you are led through your practice.
