Sona Sharma

I have practised yoga for over 30 years and teaching for 15 years.

I am very thankful to have trained with many influential teachers: my parents who raised me following the yogic path, the classic hatha lineages to the newer styles of teaching.

My own daily yoga can incorporate meditation, slow hatha flow, restorative, nidra, chanting, reading philosophy, yoga news/journals and attending to the needs of my loving family and being part of my wonderful community in Kew. I love being surrounded by nature, open spaces, the sea, reading, enjoying the arts and culture in London and being a yoga teacher and reiki practitioner.

My classes ensure students sensitively gain a rounded practice including breath techniques, postures, simple chants, readings and deep rest.

Sona Sharma

Post-natal yoga with babies from 6 weeks, after normal delivery and check-up from your Dr, and 12-16 weeks after c-section. Postures address the needs of a new mother which includes, toning, opening, strengthening pelvic floor, breath techniques and playful baby yoga which includes singing and movement. Always includes deep relaxation. A precious and perfect place for bonding and restoring together.
